Suzhou and Hong Kong

2012

Suzhou is a small city near Shanghai, often called Chinese Venice for its many channels and the picturesque houses around them. I visited it for a day, a very stressful one, but I managed to make a few interesting photographs.

My visit to Hong Kong was not planned; I had to leave China territory to get a new visa. So, I spent almost a week in Hong Kong. The city impressed me a lot, warm, sunny, full of life. On the other hand it’s also one of the most capitalist places in the world, with the rich getting richer, and the poor struggling with almost no social care. I didn’t bring back many photos, but the few interesting ones I have, are here.
