Bulgarian Villages
2013/2016
This year I got the chance to visit a few more Bulgarian villages. Some of them were big, some really small, but all of them beautiful and of course sunny! I was very lucky to be able to capture some really memorable moments… From a family of horses bathing in sunlight, through an old “Texas Bar”, a monastery, a sunflower field, to a group of elderly at the end of the workday and of course some beautiful panoramic views!
As usual, I was photographing for hours, standing up in the early mornings and waiting for the sunsets, and still couldn’t get enough! Being in a village alone shooting, especially in a small one like the one my grandmother comes from with only 50 registered villagers, is very relaxing and refreshing. In the mornings I felt like I am quite alone with nature on the hillside next to the village with only the sound of the flies and bees buzzing around me. Enjoy my little collection of village photos!
