The Mauerpark is a lively green place in the midst of the well-known Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin. It’s usually pretty full on Sundays, different music every 20 meters, sometimes quite annoying; people dancing, exercising, relaxing. The air is full of laughter; its smell reminds me of Amsterdam.
I have a very good friend of mine who lives in the Prenzlauer Berg. I see her almost every Sunday and many of our walks pass through the park, one of the few parks in the area. Although this place has been notorious for years, it seems it hasn’t lost its charm and spirit.
